Pedro Eboli, Brazil (Animator, Director, Designer)
Pedro currently works at Birdo Studio in São Paulo, doing music videos, shorts, commercials, and shows. He is also helping estabilish their content creation department. So far, Pedro has sold 3 TV show pitches of his own to Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network Latin America and eOne Entertainment. He is currently working on his first pitch, “Monster Pack”, for Nick. Pedro´s passion is doing funny, weird and creative contents for kids his age.
Sergio Glenes, Brazil (Concept Designer, Illustrator)
Sergio is a concept designer and illustrator with over 10 years with animation productions. He has worked in cross-cultural projects and is also experienced in working with art direction, storyboarding and character design for TV series and short films for children. In 2010, he started a partnership with Marco Ribeiro (illustrator and animator) and they created Criativo Bamba, a duet of creation, visual development and design for animation.
Naomi Tanaka, Japan (Producer)
Naomi has gained 22 years of experiences in the Japanese film and TV industry. She became a movie and animation producer after gaining experiences in foreign film buying and distribution, and theatre business. Currently, she is engaged as a business producer of Shirogumi.inc., the biggest CG animation studio in Japan, promoting the plan development of original works production.
Maho Yosida, Japan (Art Director, Designer)
Maho was born in Tokyo, Japan and graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation. Her graduation work consists of, “Recruit Rhapsody”, which received a prize and was put on the screen at the Animation Festival in Annecy (France) and others. Currently, she is working for NHK-ART Inc., as an art director.
Paolo Conti, Brazil (Director, Producer)
Paolo is the director and producer of WORMS (2014), stop motion first Brazilian movie, and was also made in a short version of the same name (2006). It won 12 awards in the most important festivals in Brazil and one international excellence award in Japan, JVC Tokio video festival (2007). Paolo graduated in Industrial Design at Mackenzie University and started working as a freelancer animator.
Ru Kuwahata, Japan/USA (Director)
Ru Kuwahata is an award-winning animation filmmaker born in Tokyo, Japan. She received her BFA from Parsons in NY and has been working with Max Porter as “Tiny Inventions” since 2007. Specializing in mixed media animation, Ru has directed and produced TV commercials, music videos and independent films.
David Tousék, Czech Republic (Art Director, CG Animator)
David and his brother run a small production company 3BOHEMIANS, focusing on developing new projects and new means for long-term growth of CG animation in a Central European context. A few years ago, he made his first independent short film TELE-VISION, which was screened at Siggraph 2010 in LA. In 2008, he founded the professional training and networking lab of ANOMALIA, inviting top animation artists from around the world to deliver specialised courses on various animation topics.
Amir Admoni, Brazil (Director, Designer, Visual artist)
Amir is a Brazilian director, designer and visual artist. He grew up in São Paulo and graduated in Architecture in the University of São Paulo. He also has a Master Degree in Design at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. His works combine animation, video and motion graphics, and have been exhibited, screened and awarded in Brazil and around the world.
Amica Kubo, Japan (Producer, Director)
Amica graduated from the head of the faculty of Art at Tokyo Polytechnic University in 2007. She have won many prizes with her short animation film “Bloomed Words” and “WWF 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY”. Amica served the international jury of Ottawa International Animation Festival’08. She is working as a producer at CALF STUDIO, and also Free-lance director, Illustrator, character designer.
Aguri Miyazaki, Japan (Art Director)
Aguri Miyazaki is a designer/art director with over 10 years of experience working in the field of animation, game, and advertising projects for Kanaban Graphics Ltd. Her best known work was a slapstick animated comedy called ‘Usavich’, which aired in Japan and other countries from 2006 to present.
Christian Bøvring-Andersen, Denmark/United Kingdom (Animator)
In 2012, Christian graduated from The Animation Workshop, Viborg, Denmark, where he directed the short film ‘Ride of Passage’. Since then, he has worked as a 2D and 3D animator for a range of companies Denmark, France and is now situated in London, UK. Christian is currently working as a 2D animator on ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ at Cartoon Network.
Tor Christian Engdal, Norway (Animator, Director, Designer)
Tor is an animator and short film director from western Norway, who runs a small production business in Bergen. He has a BA in animation from Volda University College, and has worked with several Norwegian film festivals, plus app development, and commercial indents. He works both in traditional and digital as well as 2D and 3D.
Kenneth Ladekjær, Denmark (Director, Animator, Designer)
Kenneth graduated from The Animation Workshop in 2013, where he and a friend directed the short film “The Reward”. After graduating, he and two friends founded Sun Creature Studio, which is currently based at Arsenalet, Viborg. Currently, they are working on the pilot episode of The Reward: Tales of Alethrion. The episode was funded through a kick-starter campaign back in 2013.
Pernille Sihm, Denmark (Concept artist, illustrator)
Pernille graduated from The Animation Workshop in 2013 with her graduation film, The Odd Sound Out. After her graduation she co-founded an independent game company, developing whimsical tablet games for kids. Aside from making games she works as a freelancer illustrator and concept artist.
Emerson Rodriques, Brazil (Animation director, Concept artist)
Emerson Rodrigues has worked over 15 years with animation direction, being responsible for animation projects developed for Nike, Mc’Donald’s, Mtv, Vh1, Red Bull, WWF, and many others. He studied graphic design at “Universidade de Brasília”, and recently specializations at Concept Design Academy in California as well as the prestigious French school, Gobelins.
